I understand that participation in Run the Island Community activities, including running, jogging, walking, social gatherings, and related events, involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, traffic, uneven surfaces, weather conditions, heat, dehydration, physical injury, illness, and other unexpected hazards.
I voluntarily choose to participate in Run the Island events and accept responsibility for my own health, safety, and physical ability. I agree to follow traffic laws, event instructions, and remain aware of my surroundings.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY TEXAS LAW, I RELEASE AND WAIVE CLAIMS AGAINST RUN THE ISLAND COMMUNITY, LUXE WELLNESS AND AESTHETICS, AND THEIR OWNERS, ORGANIZERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, SPONSORS, VENDORS, AFFILIATES, HOST LOCATIONS, PARTICIPATING VENUES, PROPERTY OWNERS, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND REPRESENTATIVES FOR INJURY, ILLNESS, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO MY PARTICIPATION IN ANY RUN THE ISLAND EVENT OR ACTIVITY, INCLUDING CLAIMS ARISING FROM THEIR ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE.
I understand that emergency medical services may be contacted on my behalf if necessary and that I am responsible for any resulting medical expenses.
I understand that photographs and/or video recordings may be taken during Run the Island events. By registering and participating, I consent to being photographed and/or recorded and authorize Run the Island Community and its affiliates to use my image, likeness, and/or voice for social media, websites, advertising, marketing, and other promotional purposes without compensation.
By checking the box below and submitting this registration form, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this waiver, voluntarily agree to its terms, and understand that it applies to my participation in all Run the Island Community events and activities.
If the participant is under 18, this registration and waiver must be completed or approved by the participant’s parent or legal guardian.
By submitting the registration, the parent or legal guardian gives permission for the minor to participate in Run the Island Community events and activities, acknowledges the risks described above, agrees to the photo and video release on behalf of the minor, and authorizes emergency medical care if necessary.
